Total thickness of transition flooring

I need to post the links of how I am finding all this. But until then this is my final thickness.

Tread glass will be patterned with a transparent structure for better traction. It will be composed of Saint-Gobain Sgg Diamant Glass due to performance capabilities significantly above any other known glass manufacturer with the capabilities to make the size panels I need.
Properties:
8mm
91& light transmission
80% UV transmission
max size of all thicknesses is 6000x3210 mm (currently picturing 1/4 of that)

The next pane will be the same glass without traction added
Properties:
15mm
90% light transmission
73& UV transmission

Bottom pane will be SmartGlass International's polymer dispersed liquid crystal glass as this is the bast type of transition glass technology for my design and they have the clear capabilities to produce this glass well below 10mm
Properties:
6.8mm
90% light transmission
1% UV Transmission

Between these is a Dupont SentryGlas Plus ionoplast interlayer. It acts as a structural adhesive between panels
Properties:
.06" (1.52 mm)

Total Thickness
8+15+6.8+1.52= 31.32 mm
Which with the Dupont interlayer will act as a 7% increase in strength of a 2m piece of glass meaning:
31.32 mm acting as 34 mm

Light transmission:
.91*.9*.9= 74%

Uv transmission:
.8*.73*.01= 0.6%

Where Can be Applied

Windows
Mirrors
Patterned Glass
In conjunction with self cleaning film
Attack or bullet proof (to level 8)
Level 1 is a 9mm for 3 shots or 12 gauge for 3 shots, level 8 is .30 for 5 shots, level 10 is a .50 caliber for 1 shot

Micro-Blinds

Rolled thin metal blinds on glass
Applied by magnetron by laser or lithography
Very small “invisible” to human eye
Glass substrate is coated in Transparent Conductive Oxide (TCO)
When TCO is charged they “unroll” in milliseconds
Very UV durable and customizable

Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (Lc)

Liquid crystals are dissolved/dispersed into liquid polymer to be hardened into panes
Curing conditions affect size of droplets
Sandwiched with conductive panel and glass
When not charged it is frosted white, more voltage and more of the particles align
Clear to frosted white
Though used primarily in on/off state for privacy, can be variable, fire rated or anti x-ray

Requires at least 15 mm
(.59 in) framing to conceal
the required cables
Needs 65-110 volt ac adapter to power up to 10 panels
each panel can be up to about 4’ x 10’
Glass varies from ¼” to ½”
Lasts over 10 years, most guaranteed for 5 years

70 degrees Celsius for 2 hours (158 f)
50 degrees Celsius 95% humidity for 14 days (122 f)
-20 C for 21 days (-4 f)
-20 to 50 C 5,000 times (1 min each)
Water submersed -5 C for 14 days (23 f)
This was all an 10.8 mm sample (.43”)
Blocks 35 to 44 DB based on thickness
Restaurant is 60, library is 20

Suspended Particle Device (Spd)

Controls tint from 0-99.5% light emission
Infinitely adjustable
Can be combined with Liquid Crystal Technology (is a film laminate)
Requires no energy to maintain either state
Rod like particles suspended in a fluid
Traditionally blue, but now in grey and black

Maximum Size:
1,000 * 2,800 mm (1500 x 3000)
Minimum Size:
200 * 300 mm
Weight:
35.5 kg/m2 (24.0mm SPD SmartGlass DGU)
Thickness:
Various from 8.8mm for laminates and from 20mm for Double Glazed units (found companies that do 7.9 to 39.5)
Colour tints:
Blue, grey, black, green, bronze
Glass types:
Gas filled double glazed units (external windows), standard glass, bullet proof, fire proof, safety glass, frosted glass
Processing:
Double Glazed, Drilled Holes, Curved, Shaped, Triple Glazed
Warranty:
5 Years
Leadtime:
8-12 weeks
Control:
Wall switch, Remote control, Movement sensor, Light sensor, Timer

Electochromic

When electric current is applied, opacity changes between
Opaque
Transparent state
Requires no electrical current to maintain current phase
Electricity begins at the edge and works in slowly, can take a few seconds to several minutes depending on size
Maintains some visibility for outside contact even in its opaque state
Used in rearview mirrors, windows protecting displays of art from UV and even interior light damage
Recently developing electrochromic glass that is reflective rather than absorptive to make a mirror-like surface
Also developing electochromic displays which would be 30 micrometers thick (1/3 of human hair) using nano-crystaline films layered to serve individual functions (contrast, color etc).  Runs on around  1 volt of energy, but cannot display more than change in color yet

Functions

Sound Proofing
Privacy
Self Cleaning
Ventilation
Xray Rating
Fire Rating
